Hey everybody!

Sorry for the radio silence! I've been waiting to get some concrete info before sending out an update, but this shipment from Mongolia to the US has been extremely rocky and confusing. Good news (excellent news) is that everything has finally been delivered back home, so the final packages to you guys should be out either Monday or Tuesday. You will all get tracking information emailed from backerkit once everything goes out!

Really long story short, due to some issues and mistakes in customs beyond my control, the package got routed, rerouted, and held a few times before everything finally got cleared up and delivered. It was a bit of a stressful week, but beyond relieved everything finally got delivered. My heart goes out to my students who had a teacher on thin patience and low sleep all week! I'm definitely not going to be shipping bulk into the USA anymore, and will be using international fulfillment services going forward for other projects.

In other news, I'm heading out to the countryside this weekend to get some pictures and video of herders, the animals, and the brushing process for the relaunch of the knitting yarn campaign. Luckily, that is still on schedule for middle/end of this month now that I know our blankets will get out in all their glory!

Getting Ready to Ship!

Hey everybody,

Everything is out of production, packaged, and ready to go. Everything came out awesome as expected, and can't wait for you all to get everything. With everything packed up in the plastic bags it was hard for me to get any good pictures, but here's a bit of a teaser! The white cards in the bags have care instructions on the flip side.

On Monday or Tuesday, everything will be batch shipped to America via DHL, and then shipped out to the final destinations once they get there. Packages should get in the mail sometime the week after next. For a couple of the backers not in America, I'm going to be shipping directly from Mongolia once addresses are finalized.

In the next 24 hours, I'll be charging credit cards for the items added on in Backerkit. Shipping addresses will also be finalized on SUNDAY, so please make any changes to your shipping address before then!

Sorry for the radio silence everybody! I've been waiting for some details so I didn't have to spam you guys with multiple updates. The labels took a little bit longer to get here then I thought they would, but everything is in hand. I should have everything labeled and packed up by the end of next week. We're still on schedule to get everything out by the end of the month!

For those that still haven't gotten around to doing they survey on backerkit, please take a minute to go over there and let me know what size socks you'd like! Since I'm not going to be holding socks in inventory in America, I won't be able to send them out separately from Mongolia after the blankets get batch shipped to America for final delivery.

I'm going to lock down surveys on Monday, and then charge credit cards next Thursday for those that purchased add-ons in backerkit. If you didn't buy any add-ons, you won't get charged again for anything, so no worries!

Finishing up production and getting ready for shipping!

Hey everybody,

Just a quick update to let you know everything is out of production! Right now, I'm just waiting for my labels to get to Mongolia and have them sewn on, then we will be ready to start shipping. Still on track to have everything out before the end of the month.

If you haven't completed your survey yet, please take a minute to go through it and select your reward and especially the sizes for your complimentary pair of socks! I won't have extra socks in inventory immediately, so it's important I have sizes and numbers figured out before sending everything to America for final distribution.  Once everything gets batch sent to America, I won't be able to add the socks without more *expensive* international shipping out of Mongolia. If you have any issues getting into backerkit to find your survey, please let me know!

Surveys are on their way out!

Hey everybody,

Sorry for the bit of a delay, but everything is set for the final push here! A small test batch of surveys is going out today, and everybody else should have theirs soon. We do a small test first with 3 or 4 people to make sure nothing explodes, and then everybody else will get theirs within 48 hours.

All of the options for add-ons and blankets are free shipping, so feel free to add-on if you want some yarn or another pair of socks! Since stock keeping is difficult on Backerkit, I didn't add the items that I only have a few of left in stock. I didn't want to sell them and then have to refund the order. I have a couple balls of yak wool and cream cashmere yarn still available. If that's something you're interested in, just use the code "10freeship" on www.ulaandlia.com and I'll make sure it gets out with your order.

Since the socks are in Euro sizes, I put the charts here to help with an easy conversion for those in the UK or USA.

Everything is still on schedule to get out in March, and production is rolling along smoothly. I had some labels made for the blankets and socks, so once we get those out to Mongolia in a couple of weeks we can start wrapping everything up and preparing for shipping!
